Star Citizen Alpha 3.17 update, titled Fueling Fortunes

Released on April 29, 2022: Whether you’re refueling fellow pilots, hauling a heaping helping of cargo across the system, or taking your mining game to the next level with new rock-breaking equipment, Alpha 3.17 is supercharged with ways for you to make cold hard credits. Gameplay Features

• Selling Items: Players can now sell items they find or acquire from others in the game, such as loot from derelicts or captured weapons. This feature enhances Star Citizen’s economy by allowing players to offload unwanted inventory at shops in landing zones or rest stops.

• Ship-to-Ship Refueling: Alpha 3.17 introduces the first ship-to-ship refueling system. Owners of the MISC Starfarer can provide refueling services to stranded or low-fuel ships, adding a new layer of interaction and service to the game. Fuel prices, including quantum and hydrogen, fluctuate with the introduction of the Quantum economy system.

• Mining Gadgets: Mining gadgets are a new tool for dedicated miners, offering various modifications to enhance the mining process. These gadgets improve efficiency, increasing yield or speed but often with trade-offs, giving players more control over their mining operations.

New Ships & Vehicles

• MISC Hull A: The Hull A, the first flyable ship from MISC’s iconic Hull series, is now available. Designed as a starter cargo hauler, it offers aspiring haulers a reliable ship for transporting heavy loads. It also features a telescopic cargo spindle, giving a taste of what’s to come with the larger Hull C.

New Locations

• Maria Pure of Heart Hospital (Lorville): This new medical facility completes the hospital network across Stanton, located in Lorville on Hurston. It is a key destination for players seeking medical care or involved in pharmaceutical-related gameplay.

New Technology

• Planetary Rivers v1: This release introduces the first iteration of rivers, starting with a river on microTech. The addition of rivers marks the initial step in creating natural water features that will shape and affect planetary terrain in future patches.

• MISC Celebration: This update also celebrates MISC (Musashi Industrial and Starflight Concern), highlighting their innovative ship designs that blend Xi’an and Human technology, which revolutionize both commercial and industrial space travel.
