by | Nov 10, 2021 | Patches, Star Citizen

  • Tiered Injuries: Injuries now have three levels (Tier 1, 2, and 3), each affecting gameplay differently and requiring specific types of medical facilities or beds for treatment.
    • Tier 3 (Minor Injuries): Impacts health and movement; can be treated on medical beds in ships like the Cutlass Red.
    • Tier 2 (Moderate Injuries): Requires stabilization and treatment at clinics or larger ships with medical bays.
    • Tier 1 (Severe Injuries): Requires hospital treatment; severe injuries prevent walking or object handling.
  • Medical Tools:
    • Medical Pens: Easy-to-use items for self or others in the field, available in various drug types.
    • Multi-Tool with LifeGuard Attachment: Offers more precise healing with the ability to revive from a distance.
    • Curelife Medical Tool: Provides detailed scans and allows precise administration of multiple drugs.
  • Drugs and BDL (Blood Drug Level):
    • Five medical drugs: Hemozal (primary healing drug), Demexatrine (adrenaline for concussions), Roxaphen (painkiller), Sterogen (for muscle/respiratory damage), and Resurgera (detoxicant to reduce overdose effects).
    • Blood Drug Level (BDL) tracks how much medication is in your system, with overdose leading to blurred vision, slow movement, and potential damage.

2. Medical Facilities

  • Hospitals (Tier 1): Located in major landing zones; can stabilize, heal any injury, and revive players.
  • Clinics (Tier 2): Found in space stations and smaller landing zones; treat minor to moderate injuries and provide stabilization.
  • Ambulances (Tier 3): Medical ships like the Cutlass Red, which treat minor injuries but cannot revive players.

3. Incapacitation & Beacons

  • Incapacitation: Players become immobile after health drops to 0%. Hemozal must be administered before time runs out, or the player dies.
  • Beacons: Players can create a rescue beacon mission, offering a reward to other players to transport them to a medical facility.

4. Persistent Injuries

  • Injuries persist between sessions, adding a new layer of immersion and urgency. Players will need to seek out medical facilities to recover fully, making survival more challenging and critical in gameplay.

These new features add depth to survival, medical gameplay, and player cooperation, making Star Citizen‘s universe more immersive than ever.
